The UK is home to several high-ranking universities in the world and as a result, is one of the top study abroad destinations for international students.

However, because the cost of study in the UK is not very cheap, many international students seek study loans or a better option, scholarship opportunities to fund their international education.

Though the tuition for international students varies depending on the university, course and level of study, foreign students who are not from the UK, EU, or EEA tend to pay way higher tuition fees than home students.

• University of Bradford

With over 50 years of academic excellence, the University of Bradford continues to grow its international reputation, course provision, and research impact.

The University of Bradford awards £5,000 tuition discounts to students from all other countries excluding EU countries. These tuition discounts do not require a separate application as they are automatically processed with the university application.

The amount of scholarship each student is entitled to will be stated on the offer letter. Eligible students are awarded based on entry qualifications and nationality. Students on discounted partnership programmes are not entitled to this scholarship.

• Swansea University

Swansea University is a research-led university that thrives on exploration and discovery, offering the right balance of excellent teaching and research.

Swansea University awards up to £3,000 – £5,000 scholarships in form of tuition discounts to eligible non-UK/EU students. Applicants must have applied for and received an offer to study at Swansea University at the Undergraduate or Master’s level. These International Excellence Scholarships are available for the first year only of a one-year postgraduate degree programme.

• University of Plymouth

The University of Plymouth is a broad-based, research-intensive university based in Plymouth, England.
The University offers a £4,000 tuition discount available to international students who have met the conditions of their University offer for the specific postgraduate programmes in Psychology. The University of Plymouth tuition discount is automatically awarded to eligible students.

• De Montfort University

De Montfort University (DMU), Leicester, offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses.
De Montfort’s International Scholarship Award programme for 2021-2022 rewards eligible prospective international students joining a full-time or part-time postgraduate taught degree at De Montfort University (DMU) in January 2022.

The scholarship offers a £1,500 automatic tuition fee reduction. This award is only applicable for the first year of study at the university, upon receipt of a £4,000 tuition fee deposit.

To be eligible for this tuition discount, students must hold an offer of admission for a full-time or part-time postgraduate course and must have paid a tuition fee pre-payment of a minimum of £4,000.

• University of Roehampton

The University of Roehampton awards International Excellence scholarships to students from outside the UK and EU. These scholarships are worth up to £4,000 per year and are awarded as a tuition fee discount to high-achieving Master’s international students.

These tuition discounts range from £1,000 – £4,000 and are available for courses with January or September entry. The International Excellence Scholarship can be combined with any other scholarship, but not the Alumni Referral Discount or Alumni Discount.
