Miriam J. Kelly Scholarship Program for African Students at Michigan State University in the United States of America

This scholarship program is set up for current MSU African students who are interested in studying at the University of Michigan. The program is only available to Masters students.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be an African student with good academic standing
  • Be an MSU student on a temporary visa

The value of the award is $1,000 but you can get that twice. You can submit your application at any time but you will have to present it by July 15th of every year. If you are eligible, you can send your application to the Office for International Students and Scholars, 103, International Center.

Fully Funded MSc Scholarships at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, 2020

The University of Pretoria, South Africa, now offers LLM/Phil degree programs for Sexual & Reproductive Rights in Africa.

If you find the field interesting and will like to pursue a career in advocating for Sexual Rights, there are up to fifteen full scholarships available to African students.

To be eligible for this award, you must:

  • Bag a degree in LLB (Bachelor of Law) or equivalent.
  • Have a degree related to sexual and reproductive rights in Africa for the MPhil.
  • Have excellent academic credentials and an interest in human rights.

You will need the following to apply:

  • Previous academic records/transcripts.
  • Previous degree certificate(s).
  • Copy of bio-data page of the passport.
  • A good quality photograph of yourself.

If your Bachelor’s degree was not obtained in English, you will need TOEFL, SAT1, or IELTS Test certificate.

Professor Rae Earnshaw International Masters funding at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom

This scholarship program provides funding to support full-time master’s students who are paying for the degree out of their pockets. The application is open to any self-funding student, no matter their geographical location.

But to be eligible for the award, you must have a first-class honours degree and submit an outstanding statement when applying. Your entry is judged by a panel.

Another requirement is Language. To study at the University of Bradford, you must have a 6.0* with no sub-test less than 5.0 or equivalent in IELTS or in the university’s custom entry test – the BASALT.

The award covers the tuition fee full (for EU/Home students) or partial (for international students).

To apply, you must enrol in a master’s program at the university, after which you can download the scholarship application form and submit it at the assigned website.
