The 2020 edition of The Ascend Educational Fund Awards Scholarships is now open for entries. Interestingly, the well-funded program is available to international students, irrespective of their immigration status or country of origin.

Under the Ascend Educational Fund Awards, you can send applications to private and public colleges. You can also send them to private and public universities but this is not all. Read on to find out other amazing offers available and learn about how to successfully apply.

Who is Eligible for The Ascend Educational Fund Awards?

• International Students.
• Young individuals whose parents were not born in the United States
• Students who do not have the United States as their nationality.
• Passionate individuals who are genuinely interested in earning a postgraduate degree in the United States.

Applying for the scholarship program

• You must fill and submit a signed application form.
• You will also submit your official high school transcript.
• Other documents to submit are copies of either your SAT or ACT score, two letters of recommendation, and two convincing essays.
• You equally need to provide proof of English Language proficiency, if English is not your native language.

The Awarding body will select winners based on the accepted values of all immigrant communities. Therefore, you must demonstrate personal and interpersonal qualities such as perseverance, hard work, leadership skills, resourcefulness, academic success, and commitment to the community you live in. If you are shortlisted after the initial submissions, you will receive an interview notification.

How will the Ascend Scholarship grants be disbursed?

The awarding body will send the grants to your institution in installments, depending on the tuition fees and the number of years it will take to complete your chosen degree. It is however important that you have at least a 2.5-grade point every year to continue enjoying the benefits of the scholarship program. Equally, you will need to send reports on your progress every semester.  The Ascend Educational Fund organizes mentoring programs. So, every awardee ideally participates in these programs.
