Degrees & Careers’ Literary, Essay & Debate Competition, LEAD, aims to promote proper usage of the English Language among Nigerian students.

Write an essay on the topic: “Holistic Education: The solution to Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges” (500-1000 words)

1st Round Winners Announced

30 best articles, as decided by our in-house judges, will be announced. These articles would be published on this site

2nd Round Starts

A new essay topic will be sent to winners of the first round

2nd Round Ends

The 6 best articles from the second round will be announced and would be published on this website

Final Round

2nd round winners would be invited for the grand finale taking place in Lagos at a date to be announced

Presentation

Contestants will present a pre-prepared PowerPoint Presentation on – The factors they considered when writing the two previous essays, & sources they consulted

Winning Criteria

Our judges will examine contestants’ persuasion skills, organization skills, and speaking skills, and overall composure​

Winner is Announced

The best presentation wins N2 million, second-best wins N1 million, and third-best wins N500,000.

Other finalists will receive a cash sum of N150, 000 each
